Section 1

Overview

Colombia's EOR market includes global employment platforms, Latin American specialists and local businesses that combine employment with recruitment or nearshore team support. The right choice depends on whether you already have a candidate, need help building a team, or want employment to sit alongside payroll, office space and wider business services.

This page brings together ten detailed prominent-provider profiles and a full directory of published Colombia EOR offerings. Both lists are alphabetical, so position is not a quality ranking. The profiles connect the service description with company records, operating locations and sources, while the full list links to the evidence for each provider's Colombian offering.

Section 2

How to Compare Colombian EOR Providers

Start with the employment arrangement behind the service. Identify the company signing the employment contract, its Colombian NIT and its responsibilities for payroll, benefits and employee matters. Then establish who will support your team locally and how an issue moves from the account manager to the people responsible for Colombian employment administration.

Compare that arrangement with the work you need done. A global platform can suit a workforce spread across several countries, while a local or regional provider may connect employment with recruiting, workspace or market-entry support. For a team you still need to hire, compare the recruitment process as carefully as the EOR service.

Reputation is most useful when it concerns a similar engagement. Read employee and client reviews in context, distinguish global platform reviews from Colombia-specific experience, and ask for references involving comparable roles and team sizes. There is no paid placement and no affiliate or referral link on this page.

Section 3

How an Employer of Record Works in Colombia

An EOR service usually brings local employment administration together with payroll and employee support. The provider arranges the employment contract and manages the agreed employer processes, while the client defines the role and works with the employee. Recruitment may be included, added separately or handled entirely by the client.

A clear onboarding plan covers the contract, salary, benefits, work location, payroll dates, equipment, data access and intellectual-property arrangements. Ongoing service should then cover changes in pay or responsibilities, leave, employee questions and the process for ending or transferring employment. The commercial description of a service does not replace the need for an appropriate Colombian legal structure.

Section 4

Colombian Employment and Temporary-Services Rules

Colombian rules distinguish employment, independent services and the supply of temporary workers. Where an arrangement uses an empresa de servicios temporales (EST), Article 77 of Law 50 of 1990 restricts the circumstances in which a client can use that service. These include occasional work, replacing an absent employee and specified temporary increases in activity; the last category has a six-month period that can be extended for up to six further months.

Ask the provider to explain the legal basis of the proposed engagement and any restrictions that apply to your role and expected duration. A company registration or NIT identifies a business, but does not by itself establish that every staffing arrangement is permitted. Law 50 of 1990, including the temporary-services provisions ↗

The 2025 labour reform also changed employment-contract rules. Indefinite employment is the general form, while fixed-term and specific-work contracts have conditions that need to be reflected in the actual agreement. Have the proposed structure assessed for the role before signing. Law 2466 of 2025 ↗

Section 5

Contractors vs Employees

Contractor payments and employee EOR are different services. A platform may support both, but the ability to pay an invoice in Colombia does not establish that it can employ someone there. This directory therefore looks for explicit employee EOR coverage rather than payment availability alone.

Choose the arrangement around the work relationship: how the person is managed, the duties they perform and the level of independence involved. Where the work calls for employment, compare the employment service and its legal structure directly. If an existing contractor will become an employee, plan the change in contract, compensation, benefits and payroll before the transition.

Section 6

What an EOR Costs in Colombia

The monthly service fee is only one part of the employment budget. A useful proposal separates gross salary, employer contributions, statutory benefits and accruals, additional benefits, the EOR fee and any recruitment or workspace charges. It should also explain currency conversion, payment deadlines, deposits and how changes in employment costs are passed through.

Compare like-for-like roles and compensation packages. A nearshore provider's total monthly team cost cannot be compared directly with a platform's administration fee. Ask for a worked example covering a normal month, an annual cycle and the expected cost of ending the engagement, so that recurring charges and one-off liabilities are visible together.

Section 7

Hiring Foreign Nationals

Employment administration and immigration support should be scoped separately when the proposed hire is not already entitled to work in Colombia. Confirm the person's work authorization, the activities it permits and the responsibilities of the employee, employer and client before setting a start date.

If immigration assistance forms part of the engagement, ask who handles the application, which costs are included and how a delay affects onboarding. A remote-work arrangement also needs a clear work location: employing someone in Colombia is different from engaging a Colombian national who will physically work in another country.

Section 8

Questions to Ask Before Signing

  • Which legal entity will employ the person, and what is its Colombian NIT?
  • What legal structure applies to the role, its supervision and its expected duration?
  • Who provides local HR support, and how are urgent employee issues escalated?
  • Does the proposal include recruitment, equipment, workspace and employee benefits, or are they separate?
  • How are salary, statutory costs, service fees, deposits and exchange rates shown on the invoice?
  • What happens when the role changes, the client opens its own entity, or employment ends?
  • Can the provider supply a relevant Colombian client reference and a sample service agreement?

Resolve these points before choosing a provider. The aim is a workable employment relationship with clear responsibilities and costs, supported by an operating model appropriate to the work.

Section 9

Prominent providers in Colombia

10 · A to Z · no ranking

This page presents two lists in purely alphabetical order. The full directory brings together providers whose published services explicitly include EOR employment in Colombia. The shortlist is an alphabetical selection of ten especially prominent providers, assessed through their employment arrangements, Colombian operations, local management and public reputation. The profiles explain the services and business structures behind each offering. No paid placement, no affiliate or referral links: just an alphabetical comparison based on verifiable facts.

Ongresso

Ongresso combines Colombian employment services with the practical support businesses need when entering Latin America. Through Ongresso Colombia S.A.S., it connects EOR and payroll administration with recruitment, legal support and market-entry services, allowing clients to build a team and develop their local operation through the same regional relationship. Its offices in Medellín and Bogotá give that work a Colombian base, while its wider network supports expansion elsewhere in the region.

The Colombian company was incorporated on 25 May 2012 and is registered under NIT 900526305-4. Its registered address is Calle 29 #41-105, Oficina 1206, Edificio Soho, Medellín; the company also publishes a Bogotá office at Calle 90 #19-41. This combination suits employers that want employment administration to sit alongside accounting and operational support, particularly when an initial EOR team may later grow into a locally incorporated business.

✓ Strengths in Colombia

  • Employment, recruitment and payroll are connected with a wider regional business-support team.
  • Offices in both Medellín and Bogotá support clients working across Colombia's main commercial centres.
  • Legal and accounting services can accompany hiring as a local operation grows.
  • Latin American coverage helps employers extend an initial Colombia team into neighbouring markets.

✗ Watch out for

  • A combined market-entry engagement can include several service lines; separate recurring EOR charges from project work in the proposal.
  • An eventual move from EOR to a client-owned subsidiary needs a planned employee and payroll transition.

RemotePeople

RemotePeople combines Colombian EOR employment with recruitment and international payroll services, giving employers a route from finding a candidate to managing their employment. Its local entity is Horizonte Recursos Humanos Colombia S.A.S., registered under NIT 901694054-3 and based at Carrera 16 #93-11, Oficina 402, Bogotá D.C. Through this operation, Colombian contracts, payroll, statutory benefits and employee administration sit within a broader international workforce service.

That combination is useful when a business wants to recruit in Colombia and retain the same provider for onboarding and ongoing employment, or when its Colombian hires form part of a team spread across several countries. The service can also connect hiring with immigration and business-expansion support. Pricing should be matched to the intended role and country arrangement: the published global service starts at $499 per employee per month, while the $199 Select tier has country and salary eligibility conditions.

Rippling

Rippling connects Colombian EOR employment with a broader platform for HR, payroll, IT and finance. Its Colombian entity, Rippling Colombia S.A.S., was incorporated on 24 August 2023 under NIT 901746349, with a registered address at Carrera 7 #71-21, Torre B, Pisos 13 y 15, Bogotá D.C. Employment records can therefore form part of the same system used to manage onboarding, leave and other workforce processes.

This integration is particularly useful for businesses that already use Rippling or want employee changes to trigger related administrative tasks. A new hire's onboarding can connect with payroll and, where the relevant products are purchased, software access and device management. The value lies in those shared workflows as well as the local employment service, so buyers should scope the EOR contract and any additional modules together and compare the complete recurring cost.

Safeguard Global

Safeguard Global supports Colombian employment through Global CS Colombia S.A.S., which appears in the group's published affiliate list and is registered under NIT 901507953. Its commercial office is at Carrera 11 #79-35, 9th Floor, Bogotá D.C. 110221, giving its global employment service a local operating base. From there, Colombian employment administration connects with the group's international payroll and workforce capabilities.

This combination suits employers coordinating several countries or managing more involved employment arrangements. Safeguard can bring local onboarding, payroll and employee support into a wider international programme, while recruitment and managed payroll provide additional routes as the workforce develops. Its published client work includes helping the World Resources Institute place employees in countries including Colombia, illustrating the use of EOR for geographically distributed organizations with ongoing local responsibilities.

Salvatech

Salvatech builds dedicated Latin American teams for US businesses, combining recruitment with EOR, payroll and ongoing HR coordination. Its Colombian operation includes an on-site HR and recruitment team in Barranquilla, which supports the process from candidate selection through onboarding and day-to-day employment administration. Clients retain direction of their team while Salvatech coordinates the employment services around it.

The business identifies its operating company as Salvatech Corp, with its published headquarters at 1819 SE 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33316, United States. Its service extends across Colombia, Mexico and Argentina and carries a published $399 monthly fee per employee, with salary and statutory benefits charged separately. Recruitment is included in that model, making the service especially relevant to employers that need both a candidate search and continuing support for a dedicated nearshore team.

SGF Colombia / SGF Global

SGF Colombia connects local EOR employment with SGF Global's international recruitment and workforce business. Its Colombian company, SGF Global Empresa de Servicios Temporales S.A.S., is registered under NIT 900318723-8 and operates from Edificio Lemaya-PH, Calle 109 #14B-60, Piso 6, Bogotá D.C. The local offering supports foreign businesses hiring Colombian employees and brings recruitment, contracts and payroll into the same workforce relationship.

This breadth is useful when a client needs candidate sourcing as well as employment administration, particularly for technical or project-based teams. SGF's wider staffing capabilities also make the legal structure of each engagement important: the EOR proposal should set out the employing company, the work arrangement and the applicable Colombian rules. That allows clients to compare the employment service alongside recruitment and temporary-work products without treating these different arrangements as interchangeable.

SILA — Staffing in Latin America

SILA is the Latin American workforce practice of Gracemark Solutions, operated by Grace Hospitality LLC trading as Gracemark Solutions. Its Colombia service combines EOR employment with payroll and access to recruitment and staff augmentation, giving clients several ways to build a regional team. For employers who have already chosen a Colombian candidate, EOR provides the employment and administrative layer around that hire; businesses still searching for talent can add recruitment support.

The wider regional offering is designed for companies coordinating teams across Latin America through a common commercial relationship. SILA's methodology names the country-level contracting and employing parties in the service agreement, which connects the regional engagement to its local delivery. Buyers can therefore scope Colombian onboarding, payroll and employee support alongside any additional markets, while keeping the distinction between a client-selected EOR hire and a recruited staff-augmentation team clear.

  • Payroll and ongoing employee support accompany the initial employment setup.
  • The wider Gracemark business brings recruitment and workforce services into the same engagement.

✗ Watch out for

  • A regional agreement still needs country-specific arrangements for payroll, benefits and employee exits.

Solutions & Payroll

Solutions & Payroll is a Colombian HR and payroll business that brings EOR employment together with the administration behind a local workforce. Its entity, Solutions & Payroll S.A.S., was incorporated on 10 March 2012 and is registered under NIT 900508955-5. From Carrera 15 #88-21, Oficina 702, Salón 1, Bogotá D.C., the company supports employment contracts, payroll and statutory benefits while the client directs the employee's work.

Its broader service combines payroll outsourcing, recruitment and treasury support, which can suit employers that want a local operating relationship extending beyond the employment contract. Regional EOR coverage also offers a route for expanding from Colombia into other Latin American markets. The main distinction is the connection between employment administration and the day-to-day payroll function, so a useful proposal should show how those services work together and which additional financial or HR tasks are included.

StaffBridge

StaffBridge is a Medellín-based nearshore employment business that builds dedicated Colombian teams for US companies. It acts as the local employer while clients choose their team members and direct their work, bringing recruitment, payroll, statutory benefits and ongoing HR support into one relationship. Its logistics background also informs hiring for operational roles, alongside finance, customer support and other business functions.

The business presents itself as StaffBridge Inc and publishes its Medellín headquarters through its company profile; its business listing gives the office as Carrera 51 #9C Sur-61, Oficina 201, Medellín. Clients can combine employment with office arrangements and continuing team support, making the service relevant when a company wants an established local workplace as well as payroll administration. Quotes are built around the role and the complete employment arrangement, so the recurring total should be assessed alongside the recruitment and workspace scope.
