Built because every other Employer of Record list was short, sponsored, or both. We list every EOR company we can verify, in alphabetical order, with facts drawn from public sources and nothing bought by the companies listed.
The comparison sites that come up when you search for an Employer of Record list a couple of hundred providers at most, rank them by criteria they do not publish, and take money from the companies they rank. A buyer cannot tell which of those three things explains the order on the page.
TheEORDirectory takes the opposite approach. It lists every provider we can verify, in alphabetical order, and records only what a public source states: founding year, founders, region, what the company does, its published price and its own coverage claim. Where nothing is stated, the record says “Unknown”. The ten-provider shortlists on country pages are a decision aid, not a league table.
No sponsored listings, no affiliate links, no paid placement. Providers cannot buy a listing, a position or a badge. They can only send evidence through the corrections form, which is free. Outbound links are plain and carry no tracking. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.
A record states what a public source states, and names the source. We do not score providers, predict their quality or call any of them “best”. Where a claim cannot be verified we mark it “Unknown” rather than guess, and we quote coverage claims in the provider’s own words.
A machine-readable summary lives at /llms.txt. Reuse is welcome with attribution to employerofrecord.directory. New provider additions are listed publicly with the date and provider name.
Providers enter the queue from company registers, industry directories, press, job boards and reader submissions. A name alone is not enough to be listed.
A contributor confirms the company exists, offers Employer of Record services under its own name, and has a working website. Two sources are needed for the founding year and headquarters.
The seven fields are filled from public sources only, each with a citation. Anything the sources do not state is recorded as “Unknown”, never inferred.
A second contributor reads the record before it goes live. Every record is re-checked at least once a year, and sooner when a correction arrives.
