How it operates by country

🇫🇷 FranceSkalis (Boulogne-Billancourt, Paris) is a French portage salarial (umbrella) firm with its own subsidiaries in eight European/Gulf markets and partner-based EOR elsewhere. France is Skalis’s home market, where it employs consultants directly through its own French portage salarial entity.
🇪🇸 SpainDedicated Spain EOR offer expressly stating that Skalis becomes the legal employer, with local employment contracts, euro payroll and employment administration.
🇬🇧 United KingdomIts UK service page explicitly advertises Employer of Record services for companies and describes making the consultant an employee of its English operation, with payroll and employment administration handled locally. Skalis Service model: UK umbrella / contractor employer. Location information: Explicit London service coverage: Its UK page names London, and it has a dedicated London employment/portage page. Service model: consultant employment and umbrella-style EOR. Its London workspace network should be distinguished from an owned London office. Skalis.

France profile

Skalis is a French portage salarial company founded in Paris in February 2008 and registered in Boulogne-Billancourt since April 2024, with Stéphane Gornès as gérant since April 2008. Its website calls it a subsidiary of the FREELANCEDAY group (no company of that name was found in the French register search: unverified) and says it has set up subsidiaries in several European countries, with country pages for Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, the UK and Dubai; those foreign entities were not checked in local registers.

The French employer is Skalis SARL (RCS Nanterre 502 448 467, capital EUR 30,000), whose registered object is the exclusive exercise of portage salarial under articles L1254-1 et seq. of the Labour Code, under the portage collective agreement (IDCC 3219). INSEE records 20 to 49 employees (2024), and the register shows a 2024 net loss of about EUR 865,000 after a 2023 profit of about EUR 75,000. As a portage company rather than a temporary-work agency, it places French hires under portage rules: autonomous consultants, a minimum salary and a 36-month cap per client mission. The site footer shows a PEPS logo, but Skalis was not in the PEPS public directory when checked, and no garantie financière details are published.

Its Employer of Record page promises a quote within 48 hours, compliance set-up in about five days and a French-speaking contact, and gives coverage of 150 countries (one headline figure says 250). Pricing is by simulator or quote. A Google rating of 4.8/5 from 101 reviews is shown through a widget on its site; no G2, Capterra or Trustpilot profile was found.

Employer of Record outside FranceActs as legal employer abroad without a client subsidiary: a local contract compliant with local law, payroll in local currency, withholding and remittance of contributions and tax, and benefits aligned with local practice. Strengths and watch-outs in France

  • ✓ Long track record: registered since 2008, with the same gérant throughout and full mentions légales (RCS, SIRET, VAT, capital and publication director) on its website.
  • ✓ Its French entity is a dedicated portage salarial company under IDCC 3219, so consultants are salaried with French social protection, including unemployment insurance, pension, mutuelle and provident cover.
  • ✓ Fast stated turnaround: a quote and full employer-cost proposal within 48 hours and compliance set-up in about five days (provider claims).
  • ✓ European reach through subsidiaries and partners, with country pages for Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, the UK and Dubai and EOR pages for all 29 Schengen states.
  • ✓ Consultant reviews on Google average 4.8/5 from 101 reviews, as displayed on its site.
  • ✗ In France it is a portage company, not a temporary-work agency, so it suits autonomous consultants who find their own missions; ordinary employees directed by the client fall outside portage rules, and a 36-month cap per client mission and a minimum salary apply.
  • ✗ The 2024 accounts show a net loss of about EUR 865,000 on EUR 30,000 of share capital, after a small 2023 profit; revenue is not disclosed.
  • ✗ No garantie financière details are published, and although the site displays a PEPS logo, Skalis was not listed in the PEPS public directory when checked.
  • ✗ No pricing is published, and the coverage claims are inconsistent (150 and 250 countries on the same page); the stated parent group and the foreign subsidiaries could not be verified in registers.
  • ✗ No immigration or work-permit support is described, and there are no G2, Capterra or Trustpilot reviews.

Poland profile

Skalis is a French umbrella (portage salarial) company, SKALIS SARL, registered at RCS Nanterre under 502 448 467 and based at 98 avenue du Général Leclerc, Boulogne-Billancourt. It was created in February 2008 by Stéphane Gornès and Khaled Chebbi as co-managers; Chebbi resigned in December 2015 and Gornès remains the sole gérant. It describes itself as part of the FREELANCEDAY group (not verified in the register) and runs umbrella and EOR offers in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the UK and Dubai.

In Poland it employs through Skalis Polska sp. z o.o., KRS 0000996363, NIP 7011111190, REGON 523450617, registered in Warsaw on 19 October 2022 at al. Armii Ludowej 26, with PLN 23,300 capital. SKALIS SARL owns all the shares and Stéphane Gornès is the sole board member. The company is an active VAT payer, but it is not in the KRAZ register of employment agencies, so it cannot act as a temporary work agency. Its listed activity is business consulting and office support, and the KRS extract shows no annual accounts filed.

The Poland page offers umbrella employment on an umowa o pracę with ZUS cover for freelancers, and an EOR service billed to the client as monthly 'technical assistance'. It is aimed at companies placing a salesperson or pre-sales hire in Poland. No Polish EOR fee is published: Skalis quotes within 48 hours, and the Polish tab of its salary simulator is switched off. The French parent reported a 2024 net loss of about EUR 865,000 and negative equity of about EUR 654,000. Google shows 4.8/5 from 101 reviews, mostly from French umbrella consultants.

Poland facts

Polish employing entitySkalis Polska spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością, Warsaw. This is Skalis's own subsidiary, not a partner: SKALIS SARL holds all 100 shares. The provider's Poland page calls it 'SKALIS Polski'. Its registered business is other business and management consulting (PKD 70.22.Z), with office administrative support (82.11.Z) and other business support (82.99.Z) as secondary activities. None of these is an employment-agency code (78.xx).
KRS / NIP / REGONKRS 0000996363 (Sąd Rejonowy dla m.st. Warszawy, XII Wydział Gospodarczy KRS); NIP 7011111190; REGON 523450617. All three were checked against the official KRS extract and the Ministry of Finance VAT white list on 26 October 2026.
Registered officeal. Armii Ludowej 26, 00-609 Warszawa. The Warsaw page says Skalis uses IWG flexible workspaces (Regus and Spaces) in Centrum, Mokotów and Wola, and it does not describe a staffed Polish office.
IncorporatedArticles signed on 22 August 2022 before notary Piotr Pełczyński in Warsaw. Entered in the KRS on 19 October 2022 with share capital of PLN 23,300. Set up for an indefinite period, and the first financial year ended 31 December 2023.
Company statusActive. Registered as an active VAT payer since 9 March 2025. The current KRS extract (state as of 3 December 2025, retrieved 26 October 2026) shows only the three registration entries from October 2022. It records no filing of annual financial statements for 2023 or 2024 (not verified whether these were filed late or are missing).
Board and shareholderManagement board: Stéphane Gornès, prezes zarządu and sole member (the official extract masks the name as 'S******* G*****', which matches the French parent's gérant, Stéphane Gornès; registry aggregators also give his full name). Two board members must act jointly, but a sole board member may act alone. The sole shareholder is SKALIS SARL (France).
KRAZ statusNot registered. The KRAZ status check by NIP 7011111190 on stor.praca.gov.pl returned 'BRAK' (no entry) on 26 October 2026. Skalis Polska therefore cannot lawfully act as a temporary work agency (agencja pracy tymczasowej) or second staff for a client to direct. The EOR is offered as a service contract, so how day-to-day direction of the employee is handled should be confirmed.
Parent company and founderSKALIS SARL, RCS Nanterre 502 448 467, SIRET 502 448 467 00055, capital EUR 30,000, registered office at 98 avenue du Général Leclerc, 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt (moved from Paris in April 2024). It was formed in February 2008 with Stéphane Gornès and Khaled Chebbi as co-managers. Chebbi resigned on 17 December 2015, and Gornès has been gérant since 2008. Its registered activity has been umbrella employment (portage salarial) exclusively since the 2018 statutes, under the portage salarial collective agreement (IDCC 3219). The site describes it as a subsidiary of the FREELANCEDAY group, which the French register does not show.
Parent financesNet result: EUR 71.6k (2021), EUR 46.2k (2022), EUR 75.1k (2023) and minus EUR 865k (2024). Equity was minus EUR 654k at the end of 2024. Last published turnover was EUR 6.65m (2021); later accounts were filed with a confidentiality declaration. Headcount band is 20 to 49 (INSEE, 2024). Figures are from Pappers and societe.com.
Contract typesPolish employment contract (umowa o pracę) with ZUS social security cover, for umbrella consultants and EOR employees. The site sets out no fixed-term, part-time or civil-law (umowa zlecenie) options for Poland, and B2B is presented only as an alternative it advises on.
Payroll and statutoryPayroll in PLN with ZUS contributions and PIT withholding. The disabled Polish simulator models 2026 rates: employee contributions of 13.71% (pension 9.76%, disability 1.50%, sickness 2.45%) and health insurance of 9%. Employer contributions cover pension 9.76%, disability 6.50%, accident 1.67% by default, the Labour Fund 2.45% and the FGŚP 0.10%. The EOR page gives employer charges as about 20%, a minimum wage of about EUR 1,085 a month and 20 days' leave (indicative 2025 values). PPK is excluded from the model.
CountriesThe parent advertises umbrella employment in France and 'more than 30' European countries, with country pages for Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the UK and Dubai (via Skalis Consultancy Middle East in the DIFC). Its EOR page gives coverage as both '150 countries' and '250 countries' (an inconsistency on the provider's own page). It also lists EOR pages for 29 Schengen-area countries, most of them presumably served through partners (not stated).
Entry priceNot published for Poland: EOR fees are quoted on request, with a proposal within 48 hours. For French umbrella employment, the simulator code applies a base management fee of 5% of turnover plus optional add-ons, and the site says up to 70% of turnover can be returned to the consultant. No setup fee, deposit or exit terms are published.

Services in Poland

Employer of RecordEmploys a client's chosen worker in Poland through Skalis Polska sp. z o.o. (KRS 0000996363) on a Polish employment contract. Skalis signs a service contract with the client and bills a monthly 'technical assistance' fee covering salary, contributions and its margin. It handles the contract, PLN payroll, ZUS and PIT, expenses, leave and offboarding, with a French-, English- and German-speaking contact. Because the Polish entity is not in the KRAZ register, the arrangement is a service contract rather than temporary agency work. Skalis says it is used mainly by companies testing the Polish market with a sales or pre-sales hire.
Umbrella employment (portage salarial) in PolandFor independent consultants who find their own clients and set their own rates. Skalis invoices the client, collects payment and pays the consultant as a salaried employee on a umowa o pracę with ZUS cover, so no Polish company or B2B registration is needed. It is aimed at skilled profiles in consulting, IT, engineering, finance, HR, marketing and training, and Skalis offers it in Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Poznań, Gdańsk, Katowice, Szczecin and Lublin.
Payroll and statutory complianceMonthly PLN payroll with employee and employer ZUS contributions, health insurance and PIT withheld and paid to the authorities. It also covers registration and payslips. The provider's 2026 Polish cost model includes Labour Fund and FGŚP contributions and the accident rate, and it can convert between gross and net pay. The model is currently hidden from the public simulator.
Benefits and HR administrationLines up the benefits package with local statutory standards, including health, insurance, pension and leave. It also handles onboarding, expense claims, leave tracking and exits. The Polish pages do not name specific private medical insurance, Multisport or PPK arrangements.
Single billing point for freelancersSkalis buys freelancers' services and re-invoices them to the client as one supplier, checking each freelancer's tax, social security and insurance compliance. It is offered internationally, and Poland is not specifically excluded.
Multi-country umbrella and EORThrough the French parent and its subsidiaries, it offers umbrella employment in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In Dubai it offers EOR with visa sponsorship through Skalis Consultancy Middle East, and its EOR network page lists other Schengen countries. Only some of these run through Skalis's own entities; others presumably rely on partners (not stated).

Strengths and watch-outs in Poland

  • ✓ It employs through its own Polish subsidiary, Skalis Polska sp. z o.o. (KRS 0000996363, NIP 7011111190), which is wholly owned by the French parent and led by the parent's long-standing gérant, Stéphane Gornès. There is no unnamed partner in the employment chain.
  • ✓ Workers in Poland get a proper employment contract (umowa o pracę) with full ZUS social security cover. That is an alternative to the B2B self-employment common in Poland, and suits consultants who want salaried status without setting up a company.
  • ✓ The parent has been running since 2008, is a member of the PEPS umbrella-company trade body, and states it has staff who speak French, English and German. That suits French-speaking companies sending a salesperson or consultant to Poland.
  • ✓ Its service is broader than a standard EOR. It covers umbrella employment for freelancers who find their own clients, EOR for companies, and a single-billing-point service for firms using many freelancers.
  • ✓ Reviews of the parent are strong: Google shows 4.8/5 from 101 reviews, which praise the team's responsiveness, quick salary payments and reasonable fees, although almost all come from French umbrella consultants.
  • ✗ Skalis Polska is not in the KRAZ register of employment agencies (NIP check returned no entry on 26 October 2026), and its registered activity is consulting and office support. It therefore cannot lend staff for a client to direct as a temporary work agency, and a client that directs the employee day to day under a service contract runs a risk of the arrangement being challenged as unlawful labour leasing.
  • ✗ The Polish entity looks thinly resourced. It has PLN 23,300 capital and a single board member based in France, it gives a business-centre address and refers to flexible workspaces rather than a staffed office, and the KRS extract records no annual financial statements since it was registered in 2022.
  • ✗ The French parent made a net loss of about EUR 865,000 in 2024, which left equity at about minus EUR 654,000. Its later accounts were filed with a confidentiality declaration, and the 'FREELANCEDAY group' it refers to does not appear in the French register.
  • ✗ No Polish EOR price is published. The Polish tab of the salary simulator is switched off, although the Poland page tells visitors to run a simulation, and the coverage claims conflict (30+ European countries, 150 countries and 250 countries).
  • ✗ No Trustpilot profile could be retrieved, and no review from a Polish client or employee was found, so the Polish EOR service has no independent track record.

Reviews

  • Google: 4.8/5 from 101 reviews, shown through a Trustindex widget on skalis.eu (read 26 October 2026). The reviews quoted praise the team's responsiveness, quick salary payments, 'very reasonable commissions' and simple expense tools. They are from French umbrella consultants, and none mentions Poland.
  • Trustpilot: no Skalis profile could be retrieved (fr.trustpilot.com/review/skalis.eu returned no content, 26 October 2026), and searches found no Trustpilot rating for Skalis.
  • G2 and Capterra: no Skalis listing found. No review from a Polish EOR client or a Skalis Polska employee was found on any platform.
